| Information | Montessori is a Self Guided Learning model with mixed age classrooms with 3-year groupings. It is a constructivist or “discovery” model, where students learn concepts primarily by working with specialized educational materials developed by Maria Montessori and her collaborators. This approach also builds independence as they plan their own lessons, achieving academic success within the British Columbia Curriculum. |

| Information | Students are only accepted at the Kindergarten level or with previous Montessori experience. Interested students must complete the standard registration package. If you are new to SD22 and your child is not currently registered in the district, please contact Silver Star School and follow all regular district registration processes.
